Nature Essence: Crafting Together
With Bee Creative
Nature Essence: Crafting Together workshops took place between October 2025 - February 2026 at Pollards Hill Library.
This series by Bee Creative offered a transformative journey into functional art inspired by nature. Through bespoke sessions, participants explored the therapeutic qualities of working with clay and crafting mosaics with a focus on mindfulness, resilience, creativity, and sustainability, fostering a deeper connection with nature, self awareness and the collective power of community.
Sessions
Session 1: Bottle Decorating with Air-dry Clay
Session 2: Trinket Dish Making with Nature Clay Imprints
Session 3: Indoor Planter Pot Making with Air-dry Clay
Session 4: Bird and Insect Bath Making with Mosaics
Session 5: Cherished Memories - Mosaic Tiles
Session 6: Making the Library Mini Tree
In the final workshop, participants created clay leaves featuring words to reflect community growth and strength. These leaves now form the library mini tree - a collective art piece for all library users to enjoy!
This craft activity was inspired by a University College London research project “Nkwihoreze”, with Kristyna Skriczka, exploring the use of art and storytelling for building resilience across generations.
