Leaves a Trace took place in August 2026 at Mitcham and Pollards Hill Libraries.
These ceramics crafting and decorating workshops taught participants how to create a unique collection of handmade commemorative plates celebrating Merton’s rich botanical diversity, using botanical imprinting and sgraffito illustration techniques.

Alicia Ongay-Perez is an educator, artist and mother who lives and works in Merton. She works across a wide variety of art forms including ceramics, installation and sculpture. She is the founder of Hands On Big Ideas (HOBI), an initiative that offers socially engaged, immersive making experiences designed to support wellbeing, foster an appreciation of the natural world and nurture a sense of agency within communities.
