Merton Memory Bank Project

Discover Merton’s fascinating past using memory boxes featuring a range of objects, images, smells and sounds. Available for use by individual visitors and groups living with dementia.

The project will provide a range of activities and support for local residents living with dementia. Trained volunteers will assist with the reminiscence and craft sessions, enabling people living with dementia to share their memories, learn and interact with others.

To book a session or for more information: Please call 020 545 3239 or email local.studies@merton.gov.uk

About your visit:

There are friendly staff at the Heritage Centre to help if you need assistance.

The Heritage Centre is usually a quiet place. However, if it is noisy we have a dementia friendly space you can use at any point. This has comfy chairs, accessible toilets and resources available for you to use.
