Come and join us at Wimbledon Library for this exciting local author event in celebration of National Poetry Day.
Described as a poet who 'knows the ropes', PEN Heaney Prize nominee Alan Humm publishes his second collection of poems and takes us through a wide variety of topics.
Here are sonnets, sestinas, haikus, reverse haikus, blank verse, free verse, pantoums and many more, all put in the service of what Fran Lock describes as a "rare patience and generosity of attention".
Humm covers the waterfront with confidence and style. His is a distinct and assured voice that, in the babel of modern poetry, rings out loud and clear."
