<p>Our initiative aims to promote reading for pleasure amongst school children.</p>

<p>Every child who is signed up receives a complementary premium school library card. With these special cards, children can borrow 6 books and they won't build up any late fees.</p>

<p>Welcome to our dedicated section for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).</p>
<p>All of our children&rsquo;s libraries have a unique theme (see below) with sensory equipment&nbsp;and specialist SEND book stock, specially adapted toys and equipment that can be borrowed.</p>

<p>Merton Libraries are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new digital Makerspace at Mitcham library, funded by a Library Improvement Fund from Arts Council England . The digital Makerspace is equipped with a 3D printer, Virtual Reality headsets, Lego Education, Ozobots and PCs loaded with coding software.</p>
