Event and promotional space hire


Merton Libraries have a range of halls, rooms, arts spaces and promotional spaces for hire. These facilities are ideal for; meetings, exhibitions, training, exercise classes, community activities and much more.


All library halls and rooms have access to; Wi-Fi, toilet facilities, tables and chairs. Additional facilities are available to hire including; microphone, flipchart and projector and screen.  


Library halls and rooms are available to hire from 9am - 11pm, 7 days a week. Prices start from £23 per hour, there is a 20% concession for voluntary groups, charities, residents’ associations, and statutory bodies.


All of our libraries are available to hire out of hours.

Merton Arts Space


Two spaces in Wimbledon and Mitcham to perform, experience the arts, create & explore.


Merton Arts Spaces were developed after the library service, successfully won Arts Council funding for the project in 2016 and has since collaborated with more than 60 local arts and community organisations to provide an eclectic programme of activities and events over the past years.


The spaces, which are available for arts event hire, are used as a reference library during opening hours and can be quickly converted to accommodate a stage, lighting and sound rigs. 



Promotional space


All seven libraries have promotional space available to hire. Attracting more than 1.1 million visitors per year, Merton libraries are the ideal place to promote your organisation. Prices start from as little as £15 per hour.
