Zine-making workshop with Lu Williams

In January 2024, Lu Williams hosted workshops across five libraries teaching zine making and encouraging participants to use the libraries resources such as scanners and printers, to keep making their own zines.

Zines (short for fanzines or magazines) are independently-produced publications which often have a DIY (do-it-yourself) aesthetic and cover a wide range of topics, including art, politics, music, and personal experiences. An accessible artform, they are often created as a way for people to share their perspectives and experiences, and as a way to express themselves and connect with others who have similar interests.

A final 'mega' zine was created with contributions from all participants and the library staff.
