Merton Moving Postcards
With Louise Hung & Olivia Wu
Merton Moving Postcards invites participants to creatively reinterpret archival postcards of Merton’s natural heritage through tactile mediums such as printmaking, felting, clay modelling, and collage. Led by artists Louise Hung and Olivia Wu, each workshop becomes a space to reflect, create, and send a personal message to Merton — as if to a friend. These expressions will come together in an animated film — a poetic tribute of care, memory, and future blessings.

Louise Hung is a community-based illustrator and aspiring educator based in London. Her illustrations have been commissioned by magazines, brands and cultural institutions. She is interested in how sustainable and affordable printmaking can be as a method of engagement and a process of collective learning through the interaction between audiences and their tangible and intangible heritage.
Olivia Wu is an illustrator and animator based in London that utilises both hand drawn and digital animation to explore subject matter close to her heart such as her culture and conditions, to reinterpret them for a wider audience. She's worked with both companies and charities such as Scoliosis Association UK to produce animations that raise awareness and communicate to the public in an accessible way.
