Book Binding Techniques

Book Binding Technique workshops took place between May - June 2025 at Colliers Wood Library. 

 

These workshops enabled participants to learn to use a variety of techniques and use sustainable materials to create their very own personalised book! This was an absorbing and creative workshop series in its own right, but also an excellent introduction for those interested in taking book making further.

Jenny Klein is an artist and educator based in South London, working in a range of media, including painting, photography and stitch. Her work has been exhibited in the UK and Italy at venues including the Saatchi Gallery, Glasgow Gallery of Photography, Stephens House, Tension Fine Art, Brighton Art Book Fair and Gigi Rigliaco Gallery. Bookmaking is a key element of her practice and she has created a number of hand bound artists’ books which incorporate collage, photography and text.  She has an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins and is a qualified teacher with extensive experience working in schools and running workshops for all ages.
