Description:
Book NowThe people of Merton come from diverse faith backgrounds. Our borough also boasts an impressive range of stunning religious buildings, from the vast Baitul Futuh Mosque, to the beautiful Bhuddhapadipa Thai Temple, the Shree Ganapathy Hindu Temple, Wimbledon Synagogue and parish churches dating from the Medieval period to the present day.
Blue Badge Guide, researcher and Salvation Army representative, Richard Smart will help you to discover more about the Heritage of these sites and how they can be linked to form an interfaith walk.
This talk is part of the Merton Heritage Discovery Day and is suitable for adults and older children. It will take place in the Merton Council Chamber, accessible via lift or stairs from the Merton Civic Centre foyer, or the first floor of Morden Library.
Booking is required but we will accept walk-ins on the day, subject to the available space.
