  • How do I renew my books?

1. Log in by clicking on your 'Account' at the top right menu

2. In the My Loans/Renewals section click on the renew all button

3. Either select renew all or individually select which item you wish to renew

 

*Note your renewal will be rejected if the item is reserved for someone else or if you have renewed it ten times already. In which case you would have to visit your local library

  • How do I search the catalogue?

To search the catalogue, select the magnifying glass icon at the top of the page, this will then expand allowing you to type in what you’re looking for on the libraries catalogue. Then press enter and you will be taken to the libraries catalogue which is the same as the catalogue you are currently used to.

The search location default is Merton. To expand the search to other libraries within the consortium, select 'all locations' under search location.

  • How do I reserve a book?

Once you've found the book you want to reserve on the catalogue, select which format you'd like to reserve it in 'books' or 'ebooks' then select pick up location from the drop down menu and then select reserve.

Please note if you want to search outside of Merton, please select 'all locations' in the 'search area' field 

  • How do I create and update my reading lists

You can either create a reading list on the catalogue by selecting an item, pressing add to list and creating a new list is one of the drop down options or on your account there is a section called My Lists which will take you to your reading lists, from there you can edit, rename and add new lists.

  • Where are my reading lists?

Your reading lists can be found on the my account section of the website under my lists. They will disappear for a few days whilst we move over to our new website but they will remain intact.

  • Why don’t I have personalised recommendations

If you do not borrow any titles from us, the system will not be able to recommend any items. You can select genre preferences in your account which will help improve your recommendations

  • Where is the catalogue?

The catalogue Is the spyglass image at the top of the website

  • How to make a purchase suggestion

If you can't find what you are looking for, you can suggest an item to be purchased. To do this click Account > Contact us. In the contact form subject box, type "Suggest a Book". In the message box tell us the item you wish to suggest. This should include a title, author (if known), and any required edition or date.

After consideration, our team will email you to let you know if we are intending to acquire the item for stock. Please note that newly requested items usually take a few weeks to arrive, depending on availability at our supplier and or the wholesaler.

  • Where is the contact us page?

Click on the account icon at the top of the page. Click on the link 'contact us' in the drop down list.

  • How do I book events?

Currently our event bookings are on eventbrite they'll move to the new site in January. 

  • I have an issue with the website
