Borough 22 to Merton 2025.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the London Borough of Merton, this illustrated talk will feature some of the people, places and events associated with the past six decades of its history. Merton Heritage Officer, Sarah Gould, will cover everything from the fight against governmental amalgamation and the naming of the new borough, to new roads and rail links, housing and retail developments, the borough crest, historical anniversaries and Merton's links to a town in Texas.
