The Template Will Sway Workshops

Suspended in the atrium of the heritage and local studies floor at Morden Library and visible from below, if you look up is The Template Will Sway, an installation celebrating libraries as places to play with ideas. A sculptural presence inviting the public to slow down and be sparked by curiosity, leaving an openness for interpretation and different viewpoints of what is experienced. Two workshops accompany the artwork. Join artist Andrew Mottershead in creating artwork by cutting out letters from your favourite words of wisdom. Finished pieces will be displayed on lines crisscrossing a designated area of the library as part of a collective installation. Additionally, you will explore ideas for incorporating all contributions into the library's collection. No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
