This illustrated talk by Merton Heritage Officer, Sarah Gould, features images from the Tom Francis photographic collection. These offer a unique insight into life in Mitcham and Colliers Wood during the 19th and early 20th century. Discover more about the area during this important period - from housing and schooldays, to transport, industry, village events and local characters. This talk is part of the Merton Heritage Discovery Day and is suitable for adults and older children. It will take place in the Merton Council Chamber, accessible via lift or stairs from the Merton Civic Centre foyer, or the first floor of Morden Library. Bookings is required but we will accept walk-ins on the day, subject to the available space.
