The Old Ruts: 100 Years at Poplar Road

In this illustrated talk for the Merton Heritage Discovery Day, Michael Stallard will cover the varied history of the Old Rutlishians Association. With a thriving club, set in the heart of Merton Park, this registered charity has a long history and is committed to providing inclusive sport for people of all ages and abilities. Join us for a lighthearted look at some of the the sporting and social highlights of the club, whose grounds were opened in 1924. This talk is suitable for adults and older children. It will take place in the Merton Council Chamber, accessible by lift or stairs from the Merton Civic Centre foyer, or the first floor of Morden Library. Booking is required but we will accept walk-ins on the day, subject to available space.
