Heritage volunteer roles:
Heritage Display Volunteer
Main duties:
- To assist with the promotion of the Merton Memories project to local schools, community groups and heritage organisations ·
- To work with the Heritage Officer to plan, research, design and create local history exhibitions ·
- To work with the Heritage Officer to plan and run occasional public events ( comprising local history talks, photography guidance and access to local history / photographic materials ) ·
- To assist with the design, research and creation of heritage resource packs for use by local schools ·
- To assist with the design, research and creation of themed local history sessions for school classes ·
- To assist with evaluating the project and its component parts
Research and Display Volunteer (Carved in Stone Project)
Main duties:

To assist with the promotion of the Carved In Stone project to local schools, community groups and heritage organisations

To assist the Heritage Officer in the planning, research, design and creation of trails, web content and local history exhibitions

To assist the Heritage Officer in the planning and running of occasional public events.

To assist with the design, research and creation of heritage resources for use by local schools

To assist with the running of occasional class sessions for schools

To assist with occasional project evaluation (surveys, getting feedback from the public)
