How to join the Library
Not a library member? To join, please complete these online form User Registration | Merton Libraries
Please fill in all the sections marked with an asterisk. Once registered you will receive a confirmation email which you must acknowledge.
Please make a note of your unique joiner's code. You need to bring the code and some formal identification such as a bank card, passport, utility bill or bank statement to your local library in order to collect your library card.

Merton School Premium Card
Children and young people with a Merton School Premium Card can borrow up to 5 books. No overdue charges apply to these cards.

Renewing items
There are 4 ways you can renew your items:

In person - at any Merton library.

By telephone - please have your library card at hand as well as the books you’d like to renew. Call the renewal line on 0333 370 4700 followed by 3 and then 7.

On the website - through 'My Account' If you have forgotten your PIN number you can request one by clicking on ‘My Account’.

Through Merton Libraries app – download our library app on Google Play or App Store
You can renew items up to a maximum of 10 times. If an item is reserved you will not be able to renew it.
