British Sign Language Storytelling by Hear Art
Interactive storytelling sessions across Merton Libraries in August 2023 bringing deaf and hearing children together to learn basic BSL, nurturing acceptance and awareness through stories, and to demonstrate how much richer our community landscape is when we are fully committed to inclusivity and accessibility.
Stories for all ages told by celebrity artists committed to British Sign Language, including: Trudie Goodwin, Rachel Shenton, Coco Briden and Fifi Garfield.
Hear Art are a Community Interest Company whose core purpose is the merger of deaf and hearing communities and giving support and education in inclusive and accessible spaces bridging the gap through foundational education resources offered to members of the public in safe learning spaces for the deaf and hearing children such as our libraries.
