SPINE Festival




5 – 14 March 2020

SPINE Festival is for children, young people and families and takes place each year in libraries situated at the heart of London’s communities.

Now in its sixth year, the theme for 2020’s festival is Our World, which will creatively explore the environment and climate change, inspiring and empowering children and young people across London to take action and change the world.


Craft Workshop

Mitcham Library, Thursday 5 March, 4-5pm

Create a dining table mat using recyclable materials.

For children aged 6-10. No booking required.


Become an EcoAction Warrior

Mitcham Library, Tuesday 10 March, 4-5pm

Join Crew Energy for an afternoon of fun with their EcoAction Games. Learn about energy, water and recycling in a fun way and find out how to make small changes to help the planet.

For children aged 8-12. No booking required.


Sewing Workshop

Mitcham Library, Friday 13 March, 3.30-6.30pm

Come and learn some beginner friendly hand sewing techniques and contribute to the Loving Earth Project by making your own unique panel.

Materials are provided, but, in the spirit of sustainability, you're welcome to bring your own recycled scraps of fabric too.
